One of our most beautiful small trees. The foliage is most attractive with rosy pink undersides showing in the wind. Bunches of creamy flowers in spring are followed by red seed capsules. Grows well in a pot inside where light is good. Frost tender in moderate frosts. Fast growing, suitable as a specimen and as a standard. Also known as Ackama.

Leptospermum scoparium
Manuka
A quick-growing tree useful for providing shelter to other plants and attractive in itself with its large white flowers. Very young trees will flower. Tolerates drought, swampy conditions and frost and so is a very useful revegetation or nurse plant. Worth planting for the wonderful smell of the leaves on a hot summer's day. An important nectar source for bees. All of the following cultivars arise from leptospermum scoparium.
